this is a remake from one of the earlier gifts i made for phoenixspine. i was looking through some of the stuff i had made for her and realized this needed some improvements.
the first thing i thought of when i looked at it was, why didnt i render this image using mental ray. so i went ahead and improved all the shaders on the models to be optimized for mental ray. one of the things i did realized was that when metal has light shined upon it, the shininess of the material causes caustic rays to be bounced onto neighboring surface, so i went ahead and added some photonic light bounce and i also made the reflections match realworld scene rather than just an outdoor image. next i did my custom patent final color touchup for a more dramatic effect |
